DESCRIPTION OF THE DECTORS TUDERI
Tuderi is a Cannonau-based red wine with a dense, soft and fruit-rich personality. Alessandro Dettori, a winemaker in Sennori in the province of Sassari, is one of the most respected figures in the production of wines made as they once were, without compromise. His approach, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, is to let fruit and land express freely, with a view to as little intervention as possible. “I don't follow the market, I produce wines that I like, wines from my territory, wines from Sennori. They are what they are and not what you want them to be . A sentence that is worth more than many words. Between old vines of Cannonau, Monica, Pascale and Vermentino the result is that of multifaceted nectars, hard to forget, but not for everyone.
The red Tuderi is a Romangia Igt, from pure Cannonau grapes, the fruit of the "younger" vines, which are in any case 45 years of average age. As always in Alessandro's wines we proceed with the utmost respect for the vine and the territory, therefore a strictly manual harvest is followed by de-stemming and maceration for a maximum duration of 10 days in concrete containers. Fermentation takes place only thanks to the intervention of indigenous yeasts, while the refinement takes place in cement and in the bottle. No clarification or filtration, nor addition of sulfur to bottling. The result is a very intense and fruity juice, of remarkable concentration, with exuberant and pleasantly sugary hints of very ripe fruit.
The Tuderi wine is revealed in the glass with a ruby red color of clear intensity, tending to garnet. The fruit is explosive and perky right from the first smell, tells of Sardinia in a faithful and engaging way: myrtle, helichrysum, ripe plum, humus, black cherries and carob. Solar nectar, in the narrowest sense of the term. Upon tasting it reveals itself in its rich and defined material, with an important extract and a slight residual sugar. Fleshy, full, very long, it can be exhilarating on baked lambs or well-aged cheeses. Personal and memorable tasting.
Color Dark and intense ruby red tending to garnet
Scent Explosive and fruity, with intense notes of ripe red fruit, blueberries, black cherries, humus and undergrowth
Taste Full-bodied and intense, with a dense, warm and concentrated sip, rich in pleasant aromas of ripe sweet fruit
