In 1950, the grandchildren of the founder of the Pedemonte Cellar in Valpolicella bottled their grandfather's favourite wine to celebrate his 80th birthday. This was Amarone. And so began the commercial history of this wine, launched for the first time by Bolla and now renowned all over the world. With this Amarone Bolla rediscovers the origins of the wine and produces it in full respect for the tradition.

Winemaker notes: A deep and velvety garnet colour with a violet hue. A perfume of wild cherries, jam, mature pear, vanilla, liquorice and cedar wood. Full-bodied, warm on the palate with clear hints of cocoa and spices.

Food matches: Grilled red meats, T-bone steaks, fillet with pepper sauce, pastisada de caval, and game or hard, well-matured cheeses. Excellent for savouring after dinner with special friends.

Serving temperature: 18-20°C.
