Märke: Bigi
Gradering : 12.5% vol.
This wine, fine, delicately fruity, fresh and easy drinking, is produced 100% from the grape variety of the same name, also, in the popular culture of Central Italy, called Strozzavolpe*. These grapes, characteristic of Umbria, are vinified in steel tanks, where the new wine develops until the spring following the vintage. Strozzavolpe was born with the 2006 vintage.
*The name Strozzavolpe evokes the image of a kind of wild animal who, with skill, man succeeds in taming. It brings to mind, in fact, a fable according to which a rather quick-witted fox managed to escape from the hunters’ guns thanks to its ability to conceal itself only to end up in the hands of a prince who sets a trap at night in which it is strangled.
