DESCRIPTION OF THE DECTORS TENORES
The Tenores di Dettori is a 100% Cannonau made by hand in the Sassari area. The grapes come from old vines, which produce few bunches of great aromatic quality. Precisely to try to maximize the richness of the raw material, all the vinification takes place in cement tanks, a material particularly suitable for Cannonau, which thus manages to preserve all its exuberant varietal fragrance. The wine offers a pleasantly fruity profile, with ripe aromas accompanied by hints of aromatic herbs and balsamic hints typical of the Mediterranean terroir of the Romangia region.
Cannonau Tenores is one of the most famous labels of the Dettori winery. The estate is located in Sennori, between Sassari and Castelsardo, the historic cradle of Cannonau. We are in the north-west of Sardinia in the hinterland of the wide Gulf of Asinara. The vines are grown in Badde Nigolosu, in a splendid natural amphitheater at about 250 meters above sea level. The Mediterranean climate, mitigated by the sea breezes and the white soils of limestone and sandstone, are perfect for Cannonau. All the activity in the countryside is guided by the principles of biodynamics and also in the cellar we try to favor the natural path of transformation of musts into wine, intervening as little as possible. The rigorous application of these practices in the vineyard and in the cellar leads to the production of wines with a strong territorial imprint, capable of faithfully expressing the philosophy of the cellar.
Tenores Dettori is a pure and direct wine in its expressive purity. It gives the feeling of the integrity of the grape, of its intact fragrance. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and a maceration on the skins that can vary from 3 to 10 days depending on the year. The wine ages for 24-36 months in concrete tanks and is bottled without any clarification or filtration and with a very low percentage of sulfur. In the glass it has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is complex, with aromas of small dark berry fruits, ripe red fruit, delicately spicy sensations, balsamic and aromatic hints of Mediterranean scrub. The taste is warm and rich, with a soft fruit and an evolved tannic texture. The finish is balanced and persistent, with a pleasant savory and marine finish. An unmissable label for those who love wines that authentically represent the best traditions of a territory.
Ruby red color with garnet reflections
Scent Intense fruity, floral and spicy scents with notes of black cherries, plums, wild herbs, spices, licorice, leather, mint and dried flowers
Taste Intense and complex, with great personality and fine persistence
