The vineyard is located north of Bordeaux, between Saint André de Cubzac and Bourg sur Gironde. Magnificent clay-calcareous terroir that enjoys an excellent microclimate that allows obtaining quality grapes, with early ripening and low risk of frost.
Bordeaux Cru Cantemerle wine is very old, as evidenced by historical references such as Feret in 1868.
The property was taken over in 1998 by the Mabille family, whose two brothers are wine technicians who have carried out important renovations to the vineyard and the winery.
In 2003, the Mignon family, based in Champagne, bought 6 hectares in Saint André de Cubzac and left the Mabille family to manage the Bordeaux estate. The vineyard was expanded in 2012 with the acquisition of another 12 hectares.
