Mrke: Fattoria Mantellassi
SAN GIUSEPPE
The San Giuseppe homestead, an old stone farmhouse in the Fattoria Mantellassi estate, gives its name to this Morellino di Scansano D.O.C.G. selection. Origin: Magliano in Toscana
Vineyard: Hillside with calcareous volcanic tufa soil.
Grape yield: 8,000 kg per hectare
Vinification: Traditional red wine vinification in stainless steel tanks
Aging and finishing: Six months in French oak barriques, followed by several months of bottle aging.
