Märke: Bigi
Gradering : 14% vol.
This wine, known as Noble because it was originally destined for the tables of the aristocrats, is one of the most long-lived labels in the Bigi range. Mainly Sangiovese Grosso and Canaiolo Nero del Chianti grapes come from the hilly zone in the neighbourhood of Montepulciano. The long maceration is followed by 2 years ageing in French oak casks and development in bottle for about another 6 months. The wine is characterised by its ruby colour with vivid garnet tints, by its intense and fine bouquet, with strong notes of dried plums and by its dry flavour with an elegant, lingering aftertaste of plum preserve.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG
Grapes: 70% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese Grosso), 20% Canaiolo Nero, 10% altre varietà (Mammolo, Pulcinculo, Trebbiano, Malvasia).
