13/07/2020 - Vermentino is one of the main protagonists of summer dinners, a fresh and fragrant wine, but not for this reason with a less interesting easy taste. There are different areas of production, and each one provides different peculiarities to the vine, in this case we are talking about the Tuscan Vermentino. Normally considered a wine ready to drink and to be consumed in a short time, it can show instead to be endowed with longevity. An example of both attitudes are the Vementino Guado al Tasso Bolgheri 2019 and the Vermentino Elulaia by Podere Spazzavento 2012 (50% composed of vermentino), tried in recent days during a dinner and still in splendid shape.
