The raspberry is a shrub of the family Rosaceae, genus Rubus, species idaeus, its fruit is light red in color, spherical shape and its taste is sweet-sour. The plant is native to continental Europe and Asia Minor and is present mainly in North America and western Europe. For more than 30 years the raspberry has been grown with dedication in various areas of Trentino Alto Adige at altitudes ranging between 400 and 1200 meters.
