Golan Heights Winery's Yarden Pinot Noir is an aromatic grape variety, pure and elegant red wine from the Golan / Galilee wine region.
In the glass, this red wine has a bright cherry red with ruby red reflections. The nose initially reveals a very fruity bouquet, from raspberries, strawberries and blackberries to cherries and ripe plums. Little by little floral notes of violets, spicy notes and a fine touch of French oak appear. On the palate, this red has a medium body, supported by a velvety texture. The ending has a pleasant duration.
Yarden is Golan Heights Winery's leading brand under which annual flagship wines from the best grapes from the best locations are marketed. Yarden is also the Hebrew name for the Jordan River, which separates the Golan Heights and the Galilee. The label represents a symbol of ancient Israel: an oil lamp decorated with mosaics.
Pinot Noir grapes grow in the cold north of the Golan Heights.
As soon as the grapes arrive at the Golan Heights winery cellar, they are gently pressed. The resulting puree is then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is finished, this red wine finishes harmoniously for 16 months in French oak barrels (mainly new wood).
